This plan covers you for your regular check-ups and hygienist visits, as well as including worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance)

There are three NHS charge bands.

  • Band 1:  includes an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish and planning for further treatment.
  • Band 2:  includes all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
  • Band 3:  includes all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges

For prices on our other treatments please call the surgery.

You have the choice... at your first visit; let us know which you prefer. We can discuss the merits of the various treatment options and estimate the cost for you. All consultations for private treatment are free.

Payment policy:

If you are proceeding with NHS treatment involving Band 2 or 3 charges, we require that these be paid in full before any further appointments are made. Exceptions to this policy are at the discretion of the dentist.

For private appointments, including hygiene appointments, you will be asked to pay a deposit, normally £1 per minute of appointment time booked.

Cancellation policy:

At Courthouse Dental Practice, we have a cancellation policy to ensure smooth booking of appointments and to enable for our time to be used efficiently.

We ask you give 2 working days notice to cancel appointments. This is to enable us to re fill the now vacant slot and offer the appointment to someone else.

For appointments of 30 minutes or longer we would prefer even longer notice. We understand that occasionally illness or emergencies occur and you may not be able to give as much notice in those instances.

We reserve time in our schedule for you and ask that you are considerate when needing to alter an appointment.

Please be aware that if three appointments are cancelled without 24 hours notice or failed (without good reason), within a 18 month period no further appointments shall be offered at the practice.

A fee may be charged if this cancellation policy is not followed.
